The Journal of Working-Class Studies
The Journal of Working-Class Studies grew out of collaboration among members of the Working-Class Studies Association. It operates as an independent, open-access, scholarly publication with global reach, co-edited by Sarah Attfield and Liz Giuffre, University of Technology, Sydney. Christie Launius, Kansas State University, Manhattan, is its “Book Reviews” editor. The Journal is interdisciplinary and publishes both critical and creative work. Book Notes is published on this website and provides brief summaries of new books in the field of working-class studies by and of interest to WCSA members. Working-Class Perspectives is a blog of commentaries published twice monthly on current events related to working-class issues in higher-ed, popular culture, politics, and life. Its editors are Sherry Lee Linkon and John Russo, Georgetown University, Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor, Washington, DC. Contributors discuss a variety of issues, from what class means to how it intersects with race, sexuality, and gender to how class is shaping politics.
